Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions

General

What is Raiden?

High-performance Solana transaction routing infrastructure. Ultra-low latency transaction landing (Bolt), real-time shred streaming (Surge), and on-chain data with Raiden Terminal.

Who is Raiden for?

Solana traders, MEV searchers, bot operators, and developers who need the fastest possible transaction landing and real-time blockchain data.

What makes Raiden different from standard RPC?

  • Dedicated bare-metal — not shared cloud instances
  • Optimized routing — designed for front-of-block landing
  • Jito MEV integration — built-in tip routing
  • 4 edge regions — sub-millisecond latency
  • Shred streaming — direct validator feeds (not available via RPC)

Bolt

What transaction format does Raiden accept?

Three options:

  • sendTransaction: Base64-encoded JSON-RPC (standard Solana format)
  • sendRawTransaction: Raw binary bytes (lower overhead)
  • QUIC: Raw bytes over QUIC streams (lowest latency)

HTTP or HTTPS?

Both. All bolt endpoints support http:// and https://.

What happens if I exceed my rate limit?

You get error code -32005. The request is rejected, no penalty. Wait briefly and retry.

Can I send to multiple regions?

Yes. Sending the same transaction to multiple regions increases landing probability. Each region routes independently.

What is the minimum tip?

0.001 SOL. Your transaction must include a SystemProgram.transfer to one of the Raiden tip addresses (shown in the dashboard). Higher tips get higher routing priority.

Surge

What are shreds?

Raw data units produced by Solana validators as they process blocks. Receiving them in real-time gives you a data advantage — you see state changes before they hit RPC.

Do I need special hardware?

No. A standard server with a public IP and open UDP port is sufficient.

Can I try before buying?

Yes. Every region offers a free 24-hour trial, one-time per account.

Payments

What payment methods?

USDC on Solana only. Processed on-chain through the dashboard.

How long for confirmation?

Usually under 30 seconds. Subscription activates automatically.

Quote expired — what now?

Create a new quote from the dashboard. If you already sent funds to an expired address, contact support.

Can I cancel?

  • Bolt: Downgrade to Beta (free) anytime
  • Surge: Cancel anytime, stream continues until billing period ends

Technical

What protocols?

  • HTTP/HTTPS: JSON-RPC and binary (all tiers)
  • QUIC: UDP-based, fire-and-forget (requires feature flag)

Is there an SDK?

Not yet. Raiden uses standard JSON-RPC — any HTTP client works. SDKs for Python, JS, and Go are planned.
